This Week’s e-Update brought to you by…

Welcome To The
MRWA e-Update!
Congressman Ike Skelton Stands Up For Rural Water and Wastewater!
Congressman Ike Skelton, Missouri 4th District Representative, has once again shown his support and concern for the well being of Missouri rural water and wastewater systems! In a letter to the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, Congressman David Obey of Wisconsin, dated August 16, 2010, Ike expressed his concern that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) can not be given too much leeway to allow the redirection of assistance away from helping rural water systems and spent at EPA's discretion. With no hashing of words, Ike's personal letter let it be known that he will not accept such lack of oversight to ensure that assistance is provided where it is most useful.
