This class will review typical components in a water distribution system: control valves, booster pumps, hydrants, meters, backflow devices, pipes, joints, and accessories. It will also cover proper methods for mainline flushing, chlorination and de-chlorination, do’s and don’t’s of finding lines, and various methods of leak detection. Participants are invited to bring distribution tools and components such as line or leak detectors to class for better understanding of equipment.
This course has been approved for renewal credit hours through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
