Director of Utilities Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the overall management of the city utility crews, including water supply and sewage collection. Responsibilities include but are not limited to (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) directing, and (4) performing the activities related to the development and administration of the full range of policies and procedures necessary for the successful operation of the departments. Ensures the efficient and economical use of department funds and other resources, including grant money, personnel, facilities, and time to accomplish short-term and long-range objectives. Performs various public relations activities to ensure a positive image of the city utilities in the community.
