UTILITY OPERATOR, WATER TREATMENT PLANT
Salary: Starting at $18.60 per hour with a $2.00 per hour shift differential
This position is 10 hours per day eight days in a row (Wednesday to Wednesday) followed by six days off duty in every two week pay cycle. The shift currently open is 4:00 pm to 2:00 am.
Duties: Performs quality control tests and analyses; collects water samples before, during and after treatment for the purpose of conducting routine and specialized testing; evaluates procedures and test results for accuracy and determines appropriate chemical adjustments. Understands chlorine dioxide and chloramines generation.
Special Requirements: Must obtain MoDNR DW-D certification within six months. Must obtain MoDNR DW-B certification within five years. Possession of a valid Missouri Commercial Class "B" motor vehicle operator's license including Air Brakes and Tank Endorsements; personal motor vehicle liability insurance.
