Water Operator/Crew Member:
Under supervision of the Chief Water Operator, assists in maintaining the water distribution system and facilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Assists with maintaining and repairing water distribution system including valves, meters, meter pits and other connections
• Perform Missouri One Call locates
• Assist with monthly meter reads
• Maintains records and files related to daily assignments
• Sets up traffic safety zones when required
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and repair to assigned vehicles and equipment
• Prompt and regular attendance is required for this position
• Other duties as assigned
Peripheral Duties
• Attend required meetings and training
• Maintains & demonstrates good public relations
• Help other team members accomplish tasks
• Assist in other departments, as required
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment, as required
• Abide by all standards, conduct & policies, as stated in Employee Handbook
