City of Galt is accepting applications for a Water/Sewer Operator and General Operations. Applications are available at Galt City Hall or by email. Applicants MUST have a clean background check and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Random screening during employment.
Responsibilities:
• Be able to drive a skid-steer and dump truck.
• Will require mowing and maintaining all City property (lagoon, parks, etc.)
• Be able to operate a wide variety of power-driven hand tools.
• Be able to lift, move, and transport equipment, parts, and supplies of up to 50 pounds in weight.
• Be able to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Be able to read, clean, adjust, repair, and replace mechanical components.
• Be able to respond quickly in an emergency situation.
• Take water and waste water samples, run tests and record results. Send required reports to the state
• Climb water tank
• Go into confined space at master water meter and read meters using 7’ vertical ladder
